Jarjeer is a community set in 6 hectares of land in the foothills of the High Atlas. The Jarjeer project was developed by Charles Hantom and Susan Machin who have developed close links with the village of Oumnas and are committed to preserving the local landscape and the way of life embedded in the strongest Berber traditions.
We care for abused, old and disabled equines, that is what we do! Our team works with local people by offering support not only to equines but also to children and adults who want to learn more of equine care.
Our commitment to our project includes providing services to visitors and holiday makers who want to experience the best of the local culture. You can enjoy the company of our donkeys and mules whilst enjoying drinks and snacks before your journey back to Marrakech. All proceeds from the sale of refreshments goes to the welfare and upkeep of the animals.
